A Week In Ibiza

After a less than amazing flight and horrendous waiting times [thanks Birmingham International] I was heading to Ibiza for a weeks holiday with two of my best friends. Wild party holiday? Not necessarily. Ibiza is a place I've always wanted to go, having grown up with a severe lack of holidays this summer seems to be making up for it. There is literally something for everyone on this Island. Ibiza, filled with both young and old has the prefect combination of relaxed holiday destination by day and some of the best nights in one of the most famous party destinations in the world. The best part is you can completely avoid the nightlife if you wanted to, or you can make it all you do with beach bars and clubs running throughout the day and into the early hours of the morning.

Pacha was the first club we headed to, David Guetta was playing and the horrendously expensive €80 entry didn't seem so bad considering the line up. Although it's far from a cheap night out, drinks will set you back half of that and even water is six times the price of anywhere else. None of the clubs check your bags though, so taking a bottle of water [recommended] or a bottle of vodka into the club is simple. The club itself is pretty spectacular, the roof bar is filled with floor cushions and dancers in pods, a bar on the second level and the main club with an epic VIP area on the ground floor. By the end of the night I was completely sober yet still dancing like a maniac, if you ever get the chance to see David Guetta in Ibiza, it's definitely worth it.

We spent the week exploring the local beaches, the views from Cala Conta are spectacular, it's easy to reach from San Antonio by bus. Es Paradis was probably the best night we had out, a 'paradise' themed club with lots of green, dancers suspended from a giant cube above the dance floor and music from Hedkandi it was pretty spectacular. Having found €150 on the floor we decided to have a bit of fun [it's more fun spending other peoples money, we did fell VERY bad for them though] and danced until 5am.
Ibiza Town was probably my favourite place on the Island, a short bus journey will take you to the centre, make your way up to the old part of the town and take in the surrounding views, which again, are pretty amazing.
Ibiza is definitely somewhere I will come back to, the nightlife is on another level, [take that from someone who doesn't even like going out that much] and the views and beaches are stunning!

This song seemed to be on repeat by our pool, so I'll leave it here. You know when a song just reminds you of something?
