Rikka Inn

Rikka Inn, Khao San Road, Bangkok

Low season: £20 AC
Stayed: July 2014

Rikka Inn is infamous on Khao San Road, the first time we came earlier in the month we couldn’t get near the reception desk and there were signs everywhere stating it was fully booked.

I booked this though agoda. This is overpriced, like every place else on Khao San Road, yet you can’t fault its location. It is right in the centre of everything and despite the massive tribes of backpackers Khao San was one of my favourite places. We headed to the green garden for lunch which do some amazing food for a not to bad price. The rooms were clean, the TV tiny and the fridge warm but it was fine for what we wanted. The massive bonus and the hype among backpackers to this hotel is the rooftop pool. It is a very pretty sight and the view from it is pretty good too, its open until 9pm which means some cool moonlit swimming too. Would I stay again? Probably but I’m not too fussed on this hotel, if you like a good pool then its probably worth it, although it does get busy during the middle of the day.
We went up to the pool at night and this was the view from the roof over Bangkok. Beautiful.
