London & the first dates restaurant / Paternoster Chop House

My birthday this year was a big one, 21 and after my boyfriend asking countless times what I wanted I said the one thing he didn't want to hear, Surprise me!

It came to my birthday night and I opened my card to an interesting poem, I turned to the next page of the card and the poem finished telling me we were going to the first dates restaurant. We both love first dates, and I looked the restaurant up ages ago and checked out the menu and wanted to go ever since, though I'm not sure I'd ever told him that. The present was topped off with a nights stay at a 5* Hotel in the centre of London. What a great present!

The Hotel

We stayed in the Cheval Three Quays, next to Tower Bridge. It was a gorgeous apartment style hotel next to the river, we were upgraded (not sure what the difference was) and had a small apartment with the most amazing bed I'd ever slept in. I wish I could have brought it home.

(Paternoster Chop House)

This was the icing on the cake, I was in heaven. We started with bread and pork crackling (one of my favourite things to snack on- and so so bad for you!), and both opted for the ham main and I had the apple pie pudding which was out of this world. It's also in a gorgeous location, the Paternoster Square just behind St Paul's.

I was worried that this had maybe been hyped by the fact it was the first dates restaurant but like most things in London is was quick and organised (in comparison to where I live which is a slow quiet village). The food came quickly and we were always well attended to, i'd definitely recommend visiting if you have the chance.
